First one is a great one...so funny!!
Thank you for sharing! They are wonderful. I could modify the second one to suit my needs... curling up with a good book when there's laundry, or dishes, or cleaning to be done:)
We do need the modification!!! One of my favorite cartoons shows two women sitting at a kitchen table and one says to the other, "I hate housework - you do it and then three weeks later you have to do it again!" of course they're sitting admidst chaos.
LOVE that first one! LOL!!!
Great quotes - the first one is funny but I don't agree with it. The second one I TOTALLY agree with!
Me again - your mom's "Mince" sounds like a variation on what I had as a kid. We had it cooked in gravey and ate it with mashed potatoes. Your mom sounds more progressive than my mom was, (though I am suspecting that you are a lot younger than I am) adding curry seasoning would be a good move!
Thanks Rock Chef for thinking I am young - I'm Kik's mom and just had my 63rd birthday!!! It was my mother-in-law that made the Mince but she died in December - and you're right about the mashed potatoes - do you know how to make it? Do you just brown the meat and then add water??? and then seasonings??? I wish I had written in down!!!
Well Happy Birthday! You have got a few years on me, then, but what the heck - age is all a matter of attitude in my mind.
You are right about the mince - brown it, add water to make grave/sauce and then season away until you get it how you want it. I would always include some finely chopped onion and a ton of garlic too!
Rock Chef - thanks - I forgot about the garlic and onions - I think I can do this!!!
This very day, I read a good book instead of painting my son's bedroom. That second quote is definitely mine.
